Notice of Possible COVID-19 Omicron exposure

As-Salaamu Alaykum dear community members,

This is to inform that a congregation member tested positive for the COVID-19, Omicron variant, this week, at SRVIC. As per our Masjid policy, we would like to alert our community for possible exposure to Covid-19.

Congregant attended prayers at the center, on 22nd December at Fajr. If you were at SRVIC this week, our recommendation is to get tested for Covid-19. Current CDC recommendations say people who are fully vaccinated don't need to quarantine after contact with a Covid-19 positive person unless they are symptomatic. The agency does advise that close contacts get tested five to seven days after the exposure, even if they don't have symptoms, and should wear a mask indoors in public until receiving a negative test result. If they don't get tested, they should wear a mask in public indoors for 14 days following the exposure.

Any unvaccinated person who is considered a close contact should quarantine for 10 to 14 days. Please visit CDC website www.cdc.gov and the County Health department website www.coronavirus.cchealth.org for more information.

Please let us know if you have any queries. We appreciate your support during this unprecedented time.

Due to the recent surge in Covid-19 cases, we are working with Nova Diagnostics Lab to offer free Covid-19 PCR tests. We will be conducting tests on 29th of December, Wednesday, at 10:00am. Please click on this link to register (required).
