Calculation Method
Th prayer timings you see on this website are computed for San Ramon, CA ( Latitude: 37.7661, Longitude: -121.9734). The exact calculation method used is based on guidance from local scholars. It is always advisable that you use the Sunnah of the Prophet (SAW) to verify the timings yourself.
The particular settings used to calculate the Prayer Times on this website are as follows:
Jurisprudence: HanafiFajr Twilight: 15 degreesDhur: 6 minutes added to sun peak to avoid Zawaal timeMaghrib: 3 minutes added to Sunset for sun disk to be below horizon)Isha Twilight: 15 degrees
If you are using the prayer times on this site for determining the start of your Fast, please note that you should stop eating at least 10 minutes before Fajr time shown although from a shariah standpoint, you can eat until the adhan of fajr. There are two calculation methods used for Fajr (15 degrees and 18 degrees twilight). For Hanafi's, both are technically valid but 15 degrees is preferred.
