Expansion Update – August 19, 2011

The blessed month of Ramadan brings out the best in our community. Alhamdulillah, we were able to raise $13,000 last week, leaving the shortfall in the construction fund to only $30,000. We thank and express our sincere gratitude to those who stepped up and made the contributions last week. May Allah (SWT) give them the highest reward. We ask the Community for their continued generosity so we can pay off the final bills from the contractor. If you have not made a financial contribution so far, we request that you please consider doing so now.

Expansion Update – August 5, 2011

Many thanks to Allah (SWT), our community celebrated the re-opening of SRVIC last Friday. It was heartening to see the warmth and excitement as folks congratulated one another on this remarkable achievement. The festivities continued into the evening with SRVIC hosting a family night with a dinner and a guest speaker. The family night event was very well attended. We thank the community for their support and prayers for the success of the project. The renovations are mostly complete except for some minor finish work and touchups which will continue for a few a more weeks.

Following is an update on the construction progress:

Carpet installation in the old building area has now been completed.

Classroom partitions work is pending the approval of the Building Use Permit.

Expansion Update – July 7, 2011

Alhamdulillah, we are making major strides as the renovation project has now moved toward the completion stage. With your support and prayers, we anticipate the Center will reopen before the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan. InshaAllah.

Following is an update on the construction progress:

• Fire Alarm and Fire Sprinkler work has started and is expected to finish by Friday.
• Electrical and Mechanical finish work continues and is expected to finish by Sunday.
• Work on the tile floors continues this week.
• Exterior doors are scheduled for next week.
• Financial Support Needed:

We have exhausted nearly all funds in the renovation reserves and it has become absolutely critical for the community to lend its support so we can complete the project. As we have reported earlier, the project has moved into the final phase, but we are still $76,000 short of the funds needed to complete the work. We are asking once again to please extend your generosity and consider contributing even if you have contributed before. May Allah SWT reward all those who have contributed toward the project, and request those who have not contributed to please make your contributions now. JazakAllah Khair.

Expansion Update – June 16, 2011

Following is an update on the construction progress:

• 80% of the paint work has been completed.
• Ceiling T-bar work has started at the new building.
• Carpet and tiles have been ordered.
• The Fire Alarm plan has been submitted to the San Ramon Fire Department for approval.

Expansion Update – June 9, 2011

Following is an update on the construction progress:

• The drywall has been completed and passed the city inspection.
• Tape and mud work has been completed.
• The texture work will be completed this week.
• The paint work is expected to start this week.
• T-Bar is scheduled for next week.

Expansion Update – June 2, 2011

Following is an update on the construction progress:

• The drywall has been completed and ready for inspection.
• Following the inspection, tape, mud and texture work will start.
• All HVAC central control lines have been installed.
• The paint work is scheduled for next Monday before the T-Bar installation.
• T-Bar is scheduled for next Wednesday at this stage.

Following is an update on the construction progress:

• Flooring tiles have been removed and prep for the new tiles have been completed.
• Low voltage wiring has been completed.
• Drywall is expected to start this week.

Following is an update on the construction progress:

• Electrical work still in progress, rough electrical has been completed and has passed City Inspection.
• HVAC ducting for both building 90% completed. Just waiting for T-bar.
• Low voltage wiring will be completed this week.
• Drywall is expected to start next week.

Expansion Update – May 12, 2011

Following is an update on the construction progress:

• Electrical work still in progress rough electrical is completed ~ 90%.
• Rough framing completed for both building and passed its City Inspection.
• Rough plumbing for old building has been completed and passed its City Inspection.
• HVAC ducting for new building 90% completed. For the old bldg HVAC ducting is 75% done.
• Ceiling insulation for old building completed and passed its inspection.

Following is an update on the construction progress:

• Electrical work still in progress rough electrical is completed ~ 80%.
• Electrical demo was completed in the old building.
• Rough plumbing for old building has been completed.
• HVAC ducting for new building 80% completed. For the old bldg HVAC demo has been completed.

Expansion Update – April 28, 2011

Following is an update on the construction progress:

• Plumbing, Electrical and Mechanical demo for 2232 has been completed
• Plumbing and Electrical work for Kitchen, bathrooms and Wudu area started this week.
• The duct work will continue into next week.
• Framing for 2232 has been completed.

Expansion Update – April 22, 2011

Following is an update on the construction progress:

• The Electrical EMT work has been completed.
• Plumbing, Electrical and Mechanical demo for 2232 will be done this week.
• The duct work started this week and will continue into next week.
• Framing for 2232 will start Friday or Saturday.

Following is an update on the construction progress:

• The Electrical work still in progress.
• HVAC units have been installed and ducting material has been delivered.
• The ducting work will start this week
• R-30 insulation has been delivered and will be installed this week.

Expansion Update – April 7, 2011

Alhamdulillah, we are making good progress on the renovations. Major mechanical and electrical work began last week. Following is an update:

• Electrical Panel has been installed.
• The target for this week is to complete Electrical work.
• Due to the crane availability, all 5 HVAC units will now be installed (on the roof) tomorrow.
• R-30 insulation and Duct work is scheduled to start next week

Expansion Update – March 31, 2011

Alhamdulillah, we finally got a break in the weather and work on the new building has resumed. Following is an update:

• Electrical Panel is at the site and being installed today.
• The target for this week is to complete 60% of Electrical work.
• HVAC (2 or 3) units will be installed today or tomorrow depending on the crane availability.

Expansion Update – March 24, 2011

Due to the weather conditions, the Mechanical / Electrical work on the roof has been delayed. The following is an update:

• HVAC units (already delivered in warehouse) are ready to be installed, just waiting for the weather to improve.
• Electrical Panel has been delivered and is ready to be installed. Also waiting for the weather to improve.
• Fire Sprinkler plan (for both building) has been completed by the C-16 and submitted to the fire department for its approval.

Expansion Update – March 17, 2011

Alhamdulillah, the construction on the new building is progressing well. Following is an update:

• All Structural Shear wall completed and building inspection done.
• 2230 framing has been completed.
• 3 landing and one ramp has been completed.
• HVAC Curb has been installed.
• Roof is done 75%.
• Plumbing is completed in 2230. Gas line test pass by the city.
• Side wall electrical has been completed.
• Fire Sprinkler plan is been completed by the C-16 for both building.

Expansion Update – March 12, 2011

With the grace of Allah (SWT), the construction of the new building is progressing well. Following is an update:

• Interior demolition is completed
• Beam and structural wall is completed
• Seismic retrofit has been completed
• Wall insulation is completed with revised rating & passed the City inspection
• Exterior concrete ramp forming is under way
• Roof – Air conditioning equipment is being removed and demolition is under way to replace the roof
• Started electrical and mechanical work for fire sprinklers installation
• The City carried a number of inspections which Al-humdul’Allah we passed without any problem
